Madam Speaker

Wasn't it heart-warming to see Nancy Pelosi sitting behind the president last night?
She conducted herself so well. It seemed though that VP Cheney was looking at her and smiling
and she was looking at Bush and frowning. What a couple. Is it half empty and half empty?

Bush looked so weary and gave the best speech that HE could under the circumstances.
Where are we headed as a country? I think it maybe Watergate and Vietnam all over again.
But we can hang in there and go shopping.

I thought the speech by Senator Webb was strong and brilliant. He has the credentials and family background of being Marines to fight the Bushies. And he looked the part too.

The buzz in Washington is that he did very well and he has a good future.
